Christine's Story

Christine Evans is an American-born, Canadian raised young singer songwriter with a sweet spirit and a voice that is best articulated through music. She lives to write and share music that is honest, expressive, and meaningful to herself and others.

With two brilliantly crafted, self-written albums released with Warner Music Canada (including her 2004 breakthrough album, Take Me Home) her second music collection, Push, received critical acclaim and scored top honors in the ’07 Gospel Music Association of Canada Covenant Awards. She has also collected multiple wins in Canada’s prestigious Island Music Awards, including 2007 Album of the Year honors for Push.

Following these two remarkable debuts, Christine teamed up with Grammy and Dove award winning producer, Matt Bronleewe to create Standing on the Edge -- an EP with a message that tears down walls and melodies that both hit hard and soar.

After taking time to grow as a person and a writer through Stanford University’s Creative Writing program, Christine is stepping into a new era of her life as an artist, where she feels she has a greater sense than ever of who she is and what she is setting out to do. Her new music features a blend of folk and pop influences, ranging from delightfully catchy pop hooks to powerfully emotive ballads. “I seek to write music that first and foremost makes people feel something, allows them to have an experience. I’m not interested in the clever or the obscure, but rather the authentic and the earnest.” Ready to record a new 7-song EP after a successful Kickstarter project, this soft-spoken songstress with powerful music in her heart looks forward to what is in store.

"Christine is an impressive singer, but what ultimately is her ace card is her songwriting. Truly a gem."-

-Larry Leblanc, Billboard

"With compelling lyrics and haunting, ethereal vocals, her self written music is at the same time eclectic, reflective and mature."
